The shop is located in the central region of Pakington St, 1.2km from the waterfront and 2km from the Barwon River trails. Easily accessible from Geelong train station, many customers choose to pop in on their way to and from their cbd workplaces. About Lisa Verstraten:
Lisa began her love of running at an early age at Landy Field in Geelong with her mother coaching and her dad an athletic official. She went on to compete at State and National level throughout her junior and teen years. She then changed her focus to coaching and currently holds the highest level of qualification available in Australia in distance running (Level 4 Senior World Athletics Middle & Long Distance Coach) and runs recreationally to enjoy the social side of catching up with friends for a chat and a run. She has travelled extensively around the world with her coaching as a personal coach and as the Australian Distance Team Coach for Cross Country and track events from 800m up to the half marathon. Lisa has facilitated Coaching Education for Athletics Australia and Athletics Victoria and was the Coaching Leader/Education Manager for Athletics Victoria from 2018 to 2020. Lisa was the Head Distance Coach for Athletics Victoria/Australia Talent Program 2014- 2020 and enjoys giving back to the sport she loves through local coaching and managing the local Geelong Athletics Twilight Trot event during the summer months with her son Jacques and husband Jack, with all proceeds donated to Geelong Athletics.
About Jacques Verstraten:
Jacques life-long of running began at an early age down at local track, Landy Field Geelong. He became a regular at the track, cruising around the streets and trails of the Geelong area. Jacques competed in everything from local fun runs, track events, cross country and represented Victoria at National Athletic Australia events in Steeple, 3000m and Cross Country Events. Jacques now enjoys the non-competitive recreational side of running and you’ll find him running local trails and fast packing at national parks enjoying the serenity and personal challenges running brings
