In October 2013, The Running Company – Adelaide was launched. Founder Chris Chapman was born and raised in Adelaide and after opening the first store in Sydney, he felt the tug to come home to Adelaide, be closer to his family whom were all still in Adelaide. 

There was a massive opportunity to bring everything that The Running Company is to Adelaide, no other store was or still is doing what The Running Company do in his hometown.

It was a success from day 1.

In July 2023, Max Stevens, took ownership after 4 years as manager. Max is a former Steeplechase National Champion, and has been servicing the South Australian running community with shoes, apparel and accessories since 2013.

All the staff at The Running Company – Adelaide have amazing backgrounds in running, triathlon, trail but more so their level of knowledge around running injuries, physio and sportsmed are second to none, all with no ego as it’s not about us, it’s about each and every person whom walks in the front door. Whether you walk or run 100 miles, we can help you make the right footwear, apparel, nutrition and trail gear choices to help you achieve your goals.

Customers are welcome to either book an appointment or walk-in. You can book on our CALENDALY PAGE HERE. Please bring your current (or old) shoes with you and any orthotics / referral notes you may have as these help us in seeing what you’ve had / where you’ve been.
