The Running Company offers digital gait analysis, during which we film you running barefoot on a treadmill and study your movement. In digital gait analysis, a customer is filmed from behind and the recording is then played back frame-by-frame to identify specific movements not visible to the human eye in real time. We then use the analysis to assess your degree of pronation and foot fall to help find the perfect blend of comfort, support, weight and durability in your next pair of shoes to prevent injury and ensure that footwear isn’t a contributing factor to any issues you may have.

During the process, our fully trained employees also typically examine patterns of wear on customers’ old running shoes. For example, a worn heel can suggest a heel strike, in which the heel of the foot strikes first instead of allowing a larger surface of the foot to absorb the shock. Runners who land hard can develop stress fractures more easily.

As is industry standard in Australia, all footwear – Mens, Womens and Kids – are listed as US size.

Sizes shown for Unisex shoes are in Men’s US, Women’s equivalent are 1.5 larger e.g Men’s US8 equals Women’s US9.5.

We will not refund for change of mind / mistaken size so please choose carefully if you do want a refund.

For all internet based / phone orders we completely understand if you are hesitant between 1 or 2 sizes, e.g. 9 or 9.5. 

If in this instance you purchase 2 pairs, you are more than welcome to return the other pair that does not fit for a refund to ensure that you get the right fit – each and every time! 

Shipping is via Australia Post.

Shipping costs are as follows:

  • All Orders Over $150 – FREE Standard Postage  2-8 business days.
  • Under $149.99 – $10 Flat Rate – Standard Postage  2-8 business days.
  • Express Postage – $15 Flat Rate – 1-4 Days (subject to Australia Post)

Please be aware that there are significant delays to items being shipped into COVID effected states. Many Australia Post facilities are operating at a reduced capacity and Express orders are being given priority. Once the order leaves our store, we are at the mercy of Australia Post and take no responsibility for delayed deliveries. We make every effort to get orders out in a timely manner to ensure you receive your order, but timeframes above are based on Australia Post standards, assuming their network is operating at full capacity.

The Running Company exclusively ships within Australia only – sorry, no International orders.

We will refund or exchange an item if: 
 
It is returned within 14 days of purchase.
It has to be unused or unworn.
Is returned with the original packaging and that packaging remains intact and in new condition.
 
All return postage will be at the buyers expense.
 
For returns on items purchased at full price, we will offer refund, exchange or store credit.
 
For items purchased on sale or clearance we DO NOT offer refunds on returns. We will accept returns for store credit or exchange of item.
 
If you are unsure whether your item is suitable, or wish to initiate a return, call The Running Company location that fulfilled your order. You can find this information on the tracking email you received when we dispatched your order.
 
If you believe you have received faulty good, please call or email The Running Company store that fulfilled your order. That store will be able to organise for the goods to be assessed by the manufacturer, and if deemed faulty, facilitate replacement or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
 
Prices as marked, no further discount or codes apply.
 
Online refunds may take up to 14 business days to process by your financial institution.

Our Locations

The Digital Gait Analysis offered by The Running Company is completely free in-store, and is just a part of the process we go through to ensure that when you’re purchasing a new pair of shoes, we do all we can to minimise injury through recommending the right shoe.

A Digital Gait Analysis appointment typically takes 30 minutes in-store. It can be more or less depending on the person, but please allow at least half an hour for a consultation.
