The Running Company – Sunshine Coast , opened in 2017 and is our first store in Queensland, owned by Brad Wauer. Brad was born and raised in Adelaide and took to triathlon at the young age of 16, with a steady stream of success to his belt and many training days spent on the Sunshine Coast, it was a natural fit for him to open a store in Queensland and share his experience and passion for running and triathlon with the community of the Sunshine Coast. He started working with The Running Company Adelaide in 2014 and it was inevitable that he would one day own one of his TRC stores. Brad has a wealth of experience and knowledge on running and triathlon and is excited to play a positive role in the running community.
Brad offered excellent service today and helped me find the right shoes for my particular running style. Would definitely recommend and will be back when it's time to upgrade. Cheers!
By far the best organisation to work alongside to support you to achieve your running goals! Integrity. Honest. Humble not only describe TRC but Brad who not only knows his stuff but lives it! Highly recommend.
Just a quick note of thanks for spending well over an hour with me on Monday morning. I ran in my new Brooks shoes last night, and although my legs were a little sore after (which I was fully expecting as my old shoes were totally wrong for me), and considering I did the PWT on Sunday, I still felt after 6km that I could have gone much further. I can’t thank you guys enough, and have spoken about the great service to all at our start running class which is run by SARRC. Several ladies in our group have also been in lately to get new shoes and all couldn’t believe the level of genuine service offered. Keep up the great work guys.
Hi Chris, I'm pretty happy with the shoes but I feel that the Mizuno shoe allows my feet to have a bit more lateral spread which, on a comfort level on the long runs is a real benefit. The ASICS are light and I have had no issues with them but I think for my feet, the Mizuno edge in front. I'm going to run the Barossa Marathon in the ASICS but I think I’ll be back to see you and the guys for another pair of road shoes shortly after that. Really glad we have found your shop as it's the best for advice and you guys are really great to deal with. We won't go anywhere else for running gear that's for sure. Be even better if there was a shop in the Barossa (hint hint!) - but really it's a pleasure to do the trip into town to your shop for our gear.
The Running Company – Sunshine Coast Running Club is completely FREE. It’s also a great opportunity to keep fit, meet new people.
Every Tuesday Night stating at 5:45pm.
Shop 5/1 Duporth Avenue,Maroochydore, QLD 4558
We try to vary it every week but it’s usually around 8-10km at varying paces so it’s inclusive for people of all abilities as opposed to exclusive and only for faster runners.
Brad is the owner of The Running Company Sunshine Coast and was born and raised in Adelaide. At 16 he took up Triathlon and completed his first Ironman at 20. He made a quick progression to the professional field and completed in Australia and Overseas. During his training Brad would make regular trips to the Sunny Coast to escape the Adelaide Winter. His love for running and triathlon lead him to The Running Company Adelaide in 2014. Since then his passion for running, shoes and socks has grown to a point where he wanted to open up his own store, in his favourite place in Australia.

Hailing from the humble Rocky Mountains in Western Canada, Erin brings her sense of adventure and positive energy to the lively Sunshine Coast Running Company location. Always an active kid playing various sports, running took the forefront upon moving to Calgary for Paramedic studies as a way to stay balanced, explore the Canadian Rockies and meet like-minded people. When Erin discovered running she threw herself into all distances from 5km-Marathon. Loving every bit of the longer distances as a multiple marathon &1/2 marathon finisher (road & trail), Erin’s focus shifted to Long Course triathlon in 2006, competing in multiple half and full Iron-distance events ever since. When not at the store you can find Erin doing volunteer Race Director duties for Kawana Park Run, strolling her local beach protecting sea turtle nests with the Sunshine Coast Council Turtle Care Program or sipping amazing local coffee with friends and pups, post swim, bike, run shenanigans!
