Todd fostered a passion for footwear when he worked at The Athlete’s Foot in his hometown of Perth. He then moved across to Nike and managed the factory store in Western Australia before transferring to Sydney in 2000, just in time for the Olympics. Following his stint with Nike – which included running two factory stores and a sales rep role – Todd swapped running shoes for bike wheels when working for companies like Giant and Bianchi. It was through his work that Todd witnessed his first Ironman race where he was overheard saying: “These guys are riding 180km and then running a marathon, they’re freakin’ crazy”. This was a turning point in Todd’s life – he was so moved that he took up the challenge and has now completed 15 Ironman’s including racing the big dance at the world champs in Kona, twice.
